Faze earns a Marsh Up Accolade as the first Nigerian male musician with a whistle register.

The Nigerian musician/Singer Faze(Chibuzor Oji) might have fallen down the trends, and may not be very musically active, but the musician has been remembered and added to ‘The Marsh Up Africa Record Holders database’, for his ability to hit a whistles register, and for being the first Nigerian musician to have three consecutive platinum albums.

Faze might have been long forgotten by the diehard music fans of Nigeria who likes to follow the new music trends and listen to the recent and best of songs, but Faze still wasn’t forgotten for his great vocal attributes he added to the Nigerian style of music.
Faze who is known to always take similar high notes to the whistle register, has been looked at as a good falsetto singer, but Marsh Up Africa has given him the accolade of being the first Nigerian male musician to hit a whistle register, and has perceived and stated that his head voice is unique and stretching down to nearly the end of the 6th octave, but doesn’t mean he is on a falsetto.

“When you listen to an Act like Wande Coal, you could say that is a great singer that could hit notes just around the 5th octave with a total amazing head voice, but listening to Faze you could hear a slight difference if you are just a normal fan. You could hear a great difference if you are a musical personnel, the difference between both Act is Wande Coal is a skillful falsetto singer, with a perfect head voice…Faze is just an octave above that, even if he isn’t stretching to the end of 6th Octave, he was able to enhance the whistle register from the start of his 6th Octave and makes it sound like an head voice that it is” – Kennedy Tareotu

Faze would hereby receive an accolade for certification of his record, as the First Nigerian male musician to hit a whistle register.
